Shell to Shore presents: the SHELLCAST
Shell to Shore is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation based in Athens, GA. Our organization collects oyster shells from restaurants, festivals, and events across the state of Georgia and recycles them on the Georgia coast, enabling natural solutions to issues like erosion, storm surge, and flooding.
ShellCast highlights the people and places that have made this recycling, education, and restoration work special and all that we've been learning and doing along the way.

Shell to Shore Presents: the SHELLCAST! Episode 2!
Welcome back to ShellCast, a new podcast from the Shell to Shore team about oysters and shoreline conservation.
Our second episode features Maurice Bailey, who is the Executive Director of Save Our Legacy Ourself and a small business owner on Sapelo Island.
Maurice is a ninth-generation Saltwater Geechee, and along with his mother, Mrs. Cornelia Walker Bailey, he started the revival of heritage crops on Sapelo Island as an economic development strategy and a way to preserve Saltwater Geechee culture. His farm serves as a coastal collection site for oyster shells, and his non-profit organization is one of Shell to Shore’s most important partners.
